Waiting on the Lord (Part 3)

At the heart of hearing God’s voice is the Word of God. Scripture is not just a record of what God once said; it is the living foundation that teaches us how His voice sounds, what His heart is like, and how He leads. If we want to recognize His voice in our lives, we must first know it in His Word. The Spirit takes what has already been spoken through Christ in Scripture and reveals it to us. The Bible becomes the tuning fork of our hearts, training our ears so that when God whispers, nudges, or directs, we recognize the tone of truth. Without the Word, we mistake our own thoughts for His voice; with the Word, we learn to discern, trust, and follow Him with confidence.
